Short story about depressed and unenthusiastic Detective Nowak in 90’s America, that has to uncover the mysterious murder of famous pop-star Branda Spikes. He has to interrogate all suspects, investigate the scene of death and find the murderer. Who was that? Obsessed Fan? Russian Bodyguard? Stingy Boyfriend? Jealous Stylist or Hot-headed Manager? Listen, Spectate, Analyze.
About:
“Detective Nowak” is a product of the cooperation of a 6-person team of University Students for one of the courses. Developed on Processing Engine, Point-and-Click Quest has a heavy narrative focus. The game was created with a lot of experimenting and character design. Charismatic and satiric characters give the player the puzzle pieces about the tragic death of the famous pop star Branda Spikes. 2D Pixel art was chosen to convey the “retro” aesthetic and tribute to old mystery games. Muted and “dirty” colours contrast with bright characters that were created by the development team.
